Getting professional with colors

Color selection is a very important element because colors have an effect on the people who will see your work. That’s why it is very important for you to consider your target audience, the psychology of color, and the corporate image you wish to project before you begin.
When color is used correctly, it can add impact and clarity to your message and highlight important points. When color is used incorrectly, it can compromise your message and confuse your target audience.
Color emphasizes, highlights, and leads the eye to important points or links. Color identifies recurring themes. Color can differentiate, such as different colors in pie charts and bar graphs. And color symbolizes and triggers emotions and associations.
The interpretation of a color depends on culture, profession, and personal preference. People will not have the same understanding of the colors you use. Take that into consideration.
The best thing to do is to associate them with what your message is and think of the result from your readers’ point of view.
Again, try to consider your target audience, the psychology of color, and the corporate image you want to get through to them before you begin “coloring” your work.
